Oswaldo Betancort appoints nationalist Alicia Páez as advisor to the Cabildo

The former councilor delegate of La Graciosa was in ninth place on the list for the Cabildo but was not elected

Oswaldo Betancort has appointed the nationalist Alicia Páez as advisor to the Presidency of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. La Voz has learned this through the decree signed by the island's president on October 23rd.

Alicia Páez, who was a councilor delegate of La Graciosa during Oswaldo Betancort's mayorship in Teguise, is appointed as eventual staff, in the capacity of advisor. In addition, she was ninth on the list of the Canarian Coalition during the elections to the Cabildo of Lanzarote held on May 28.

This appointment means that the former representative of the Teguise City Council on the eighth island will receive 3,285.71 euros gross per month in a total of 14 monthly payments. This would amount to a gross annual salary of 45,999.94 euros.
