The president of the Canary Islands Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH), Ofelia Reyes, visited the Hematology Service of the General Hospital of Lanzarote this Friday. The main objective of this visit is to promote donations on the island through joint work with the Hospital's extraction team integrated into the Canary Transfusion Network.
The head of the ICHH is visiting all the islands to propose initiatives that lead to an increase in the number of donors. Among the measures to achieve this objective are the intensification of blood extraction campaigns on the islands and the continuity of the Mobile Units' trips to various points of the Archipelago, in order to facilitate voluntary donations to the population. For this reason, the ICHH moved its teams to Lanzarote last week and plans to be back on the island in a fortnight.
