Merchants from Hermanos Zerolo street in Arrecife have denounced that the pedestrianization works that the Cabildo is carrying out on this road are "paralyzed" for "a week and a half". A fact that they deny from the first institution, from where they affirm that "the fact that they are not with machines does not mean that they have stopped".
"They are not doing absolutely anything because they are lacking paving stones. They are waiting for the order, they have been stopped for a week and a half, and until they arrive the work will not resume", a merchant told La Voz, who says that he was able to find out "from the company itself" awarded the works.
"Because nobody from the Cabildo shows their face", this businessman complained, who criticizes the lack of explanations in this regard by the Minister of Commerce, the popular Ángel Vázquez. "He has not shown up, he has not come to inform us of anything or apologize," he added.
The Cabildo affirms that "it has surely moved on to another phase"
For its part, the Cabildo, however, has denied that there is a paralysis of the works. "They are not paralyzed", they have assured from the institution's press department, affirming that the fact that "they are not with the machines does not mean that they have stopped", but that "surely it has moved on to a phase different from that of earthmoving".
