María Dolores Corujo visits the facilities of the Puerto del Carmen soccer field

The president learned about the status of the conditioning and renovation works, in which the Cabildo and the Tías City Council are investing more than one million euros.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, visited the facilities of the Puerto del Carmen soccer field this Monday, in order to "learn about the status of the conditioning and renovation works that the Island Institution, in collaboration with the Tías City Council, is financing with 1,057,119.24 euros."

Dolores Corujo, who was accompanied by the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the Minister of Sports, Alfredo Mendoza, pointed out that "the actions are on the right track and we hope that the planned deadlines are met so that the teams and fans can enjoy modern and state-of-the-art facilities as soon as possible."

"With these works, our Island and the municipality of Tías will have renovated facilities, with top-quality artificial turf, and the accessibility and energy efficiency of the facilities will be improved, among other actions," the president pointed out.

From the Cabildo they point out that actions will be carried out to "repair stands, replace low-voltage installations, plumbing, sanitation, irrigation and telecommunications, the replacement of sports equipment or the execution of a press box."

The sports venue of the Puerto del Carmen soccer field has an area of 11,940 square meters, where there is a playing field measuring 99x65 meters with different buildings dedicated to providing support services to the playing area, such as changing rooms, office, cafeteria, public toilets, warehouses, installation room and covered grandstand.
