Marcos Bergaz presents "the maximum number of endorsements" to be a candidate for mayor of Teguise

The councilor of the Cabildo, Marcos Bergaz, will be the candidate for Mayor of the Teguise City Council for the socialist party. The current councilor of the Island Council presented on Thursday night the endorsements to lead the electoral list of his party in Teguise in the upcoming elections in May. Bergaz contributed the maximum number of endorsements allowed and stated that he arrives "with a project for all the residents of the municipality, aimed at turning Teguise into a leading municipality in all aspects, whether economic, social or sports."

The current councilor of the Cabildo has stated that "too little has been done in Teguise in recent years, even more so when the current mayor Oswaldo Betancort has had an absolute majority that, far from meaning more management and investment, has been harmful to the interests of the residents, and that must be changed. It is necessary to start a new era in Teguise where realities and facts replace promises and photos, where the Government does not settle down and the promised investments are carried out, without excuses, such as the nursery for Costa Teguise, the Las Cucharas promenade or the renovation of the road from Nazaret to the Agroindustrial Complex".

"Today the mayor says that his aspiration is to leave the City Council with zero debt, but the truth is that with Oswaldo it is the most indebted City Council in Lanzarote, and it cannot continue like this." "Together with the men and women who accompany me on the list, we will represent an inclusive project, because I want a Teguise that is the best, in administrative matters, in attention to the resident and the various payments of the Municipality, in investment capacity because Teguise and the citizens deserve it."

Profile.- Marcos Bergaz is married and has two children. He is a secondary school teacher at IES Teguise and a tutor at Uned. He is currently a councilor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
