Manuel Fajardo Palarea has been proposed by the Socialist Party to be the secretary of the new Senate table, which will be formed this Tuesday, December 3. This was approved by the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Federal Executive of the PSOE held this Monday in which proposals were made for the Congress and Senate tables and the leaderships of both parliamentary groups.
In this way, the senator from Lanzarote will be the secretary of the Table, which will be chaired by Pilar Llop, a judge specializing in gender violence, and the vice president will be Cristina Narbona.
The island secretary of the PSOE and president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, has acknowledged the enormous satisfaction that this appointment has produced. "The designation of Manolo Fajardo for a position of such responsibility represents an undeniable recognition of his career and represents an opportunity for Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, which will gain weight in the Upper House," he said.
Corujo concluded by stating her conviction that "Fajardo's presence on the Senate Board will mean a plus of visibility for the island, which will be taken advantage of by the Lanzarote senator."
