The socialist Ariagona González from Lanzarote is one of the deputies who has taken office in Congress, in addition to Elena Máñez and Luc André Diouf for the province of Las Palmas and Héctor Gómez and Tamara Raya for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The socialist senators from the Canary Islands are Manuel Fajardo (Lanzarote), Esther Carmona (El Hierro), Paloma Hernández (Fuerteventura), Ramón Morales and Nina Santana (Gran Canaria), Olivia Delgado and Anatael Meneses (Tenerife), as well as Pedro Ramos by regional designation.

The Senate of the XIV Legislature, for its part, is constituted with 265 parliamentarians, of which 208 were directly elected by the citizens on November 10 and another 57 have been designated by the regional parliaments. The PSOE has on this occasion with 113 senators, of which eight correspond to its federation in the Canary Islands as a result of the victory in the past elections of November 10, which will allow to form for this legislature the territorial group Socialists of the Canary Islands in the Upper House.
The Senate Bureau, chaired by the socialist Pilar Llop, is the governing body of the Senate, which sets the agenda for plenary sessions, qualifies parliamentary writings to declare their admission or inadmissibility, or decides the procedure for processing the different initiatives, including the calendar of meetings of the Plenary and the coordination of the work of the different bodies of the institution.
