Magec Tías Lanzarote Against Gender Violence returned without reward from their first away game of the 2025/2026 season, after falling 77 to 70 against Dishelec 65 Viladecans. In a match played at the Atrium Viladecans Pavilion, the local team achieved their first victory of the campaign in a duel marked by alternations, the effort of the Lanzarote players, and a second half in which the islanders' reaction was not enough to complete the comeback.

The team led by Jesús García started the match with good vibes, maintaining an organized game and creating clear opportunities to dominate the early stages. However, personal fouls soon became a problem that conditioned the pace of the match. The constant rotations to avoid the accumulation of fouls forced a readjustment of the game plan, and the Catalan team knew how to take advantage of the situation to take the initiative.

Despite the rojinegro efforts to maintain intensity, Dishelec 65 Viladecans progressively increased their lead. At halftime, the score reflected a 39-28, which didn't quite do justice to the Lanzarote players' dedication, who continued to show moments of good basketball and energy on both ends of the court.

After passing through the locker room, Magec Tías Lanzarote came out somewhat disconnected, which allowed the locals to extend their lead to 20 points. Far from giving up, Jesús García's players responded with character and a remarkable fighting ability, delivering a high-intensity final quarter that allowed them to cut the difference and come within just five points of a comeback.

The effort did not yield the desired reward, and the match concluded with a final score of 77-70, a result that leaves the Lanzarote team with good competitive feelings despite the defeat.

After the match, the Rojinegro coach, Jesús García, highlighted his team's attitude despite the difficulties: "The positive thing is the desire to fight that this team has despite the physical problems we have, but we will surely change the dynamic soon."

With an eye on the next matchday, Magec Tías Lanzarote Against Gender Violence will be looking for their first home win of the season. The island team will host El Plantel GMasB on Saturday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tías Municipal Pavilion, in a match that is expected to be intense and in which the red-and-black fans will play a fundamental role.
