Loli Corujo "has placed the elderly at the center of her attention" in the meeting she held with the Association of Seniors and Volunteers of the Municipality of Tías (Asomavo) and the Tías Senior Center. The socialist candidate for president of the Cabildo explained that, "in this field, the most outstanding thing that the Cabildo has done has been the transformation of the Social Rights area," she says.

"From this new approach, we have focused on caring for the elderly and dependent people and our annual budget in this field has risen to almost 20 million euros, in addition to another 26 million until 2024 for the new Insular Service for Comprehensive Care for Dependency in Lanzarote," said Loli Corujo.

In particular, Corujo highlights "the boost to the Comprehensive Dependency Care Service on the island, for which a Consortium has been established with the Government of the Canary Islands and the seven municipalities for its implementation in this 2023, and which will serve about 900 people."

"Social services with easy access and with information adapted to the physical, intellectual and social environment of the users"

This novelty will offer "social services with easy access and with information adapted to the physical, intellectual and social environment of the users, regardless of the municipality in which they reside," she clarifies. Similarly, "this service will expand the portfolio of services currently offered by the municipalities, implementing telemedicine services, home automation and an advanced telecare system in homes, among others," she adds.

Other outstanding actions have been the "awarding of the Senior Care Centers Service, the awarding of the Adapted Transport of the Senior Centers, the bidding for the San Roque Senior Center or the conditioning of the La Graciosa Senior Day Center," she concludes.
