Light to moderate intensity rains will tarnish this January 6, the day of the Three Wise Men, since safe rainfall is expected in all the islands according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which also predicts that temperatures will drop and there will be wind.

Thus, boys and girls who want to enjoy their gifts will have to count on the certainty that it will rain on all seven islands, that it will be windy and cold. In the coastal areas, temperatures will drop more gradually, and the decrease will be more pronounced in midland and high areas.

Specifically, during Wednesday there may be weak or moderate showers in the Canary Islands, mainly in the eastern islands. In addition, north component winds will blow in the northern half of the peninsula and in the Balearic archipelago, and westerly winds in the southern regions and in the Canary Islands, being strong in the morning in the Strait and in the rest of the eastern area of the Andalusian community, according to the portal www.eltiempo.es.

Possibility of storm next week

However, it seems that the instability will be mainly concentrated on the day of the Three Wise Men, since they will disappear from Thursday, where weak and scattered rains are expected in the Canary archipelago, although temperatures will continue to drop until Friday, when the situation is expected to stabilize.

Specifically, on Thursday in the Canary Islands it will be partly cloudy in the north and clear in the south. Temperatures will continue to drop and north component winds will prevail, blowing quite strongly. On Friday, however, it could rain slightly in the western Canary Islands, while moderate winds will prevail and blow from the northeast.

Despite this typically winter weather, Aemet confirms that no alerts for instability are expected so far and that the situation will stabilize until the weekend, although the possibility of a storm invading the Islands next week looms.
