Socialist José Juan Cruz Saavedra has once again been invested as mayor of Tías thanks to his ten councilors, one more than in the previous elections, and the support received by the councilor of Podemos, Nicolás Saavedra.
Before a packed auditorium, which included, among other personalities, the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, and the candidate for the Senate for the PSOE, Manuel Fajardo, Cruz thanked the residents of Tías "for revalidating their confidence in progress, stability, social policies and the power of the people." He also thanked his colleagues "for their involvement and generosity."
Likewise, the elected mayor celebrated reaching a government agreement with Podemos that will allow "to move forward without leaving anyone behind."
The elected councilors of the PSOE, in addition to Cruz Saavedra, are Carmen Gloria Rodríguez, Tomás Silvera, María José González, Ulpiano Calero, Laura Callero, Sergio García, Miriam Hernández, Cristopher Notario and Mariana Pérez Noriega.
The second political force in Tías is the Popular Party, with seven elected councilors: Kiko Aparicio, Ayoze Pérez, Nerea Santana, Ylenia Vizcaíno, Roberto Brito, Saray Rodríguez Marrero and Alejandro Curbelo Delgado.
For its part, Coalición Canaria has two elected councilors, Amado Vizcaíno and María Agustina Martín.
Finally, Vox also entered the City Council with Nelson Daniel Pérez.
