The Lanzarote lawyer José Carlos Rojas will be the candidate of Lanzarote Avanza for the Mayor of Arrecife. This Friday Rojas accepted the offer to replace José Montelongo after the departure of the Socialist Group of Lanzarote from the electoral alliance.
José Carlos Rojas has political experience. He was a councilor for the Popular Party in the Yaiza City Council in the 2003-2007 legislature, in 2006 he left the minutes in the Consistory. A year later he joined the CCN, a party with which he ran in the elections. After those elections, Rojas leaves the front line of politics and focuses on his profession. In 2009 he joined the Lanzarote Bar Association as Librarian and in 2013 he ran for Dean although he failed to be so.
From 2015 he joined the Nueva Canarias team of Mame Fernández in Tías and together with him they left that formation to join the alliance of PIL and UPY. Now, with Gladys Acuña, leader of Lanzarote Avanza, he returns to politics to become a candidate for the electoral alliance to the Arrecife City Council.
