The nationalist Jesús Machín has started this Saturday his fifth term as mayor of Tinajo after the absolute majority obtained in the elections of May 26, in which CC obtained seven councilors. This municipality has been the first on the island to hold the Plenary to constitute the new Corporation, which started at ten in the morning.
Together with Machín, who has revalidated the baton of command of the municipality, his former party colleague Antonio Morales has also taken possession of his act, thus returning to the Plenary of the City Council, but now from the opposition.
For CC, the nationalists Luis Miguel Pérez, Elisabeth Olivero, Vianney Rodríguez and Yurena Cubas, who repeat as councilors, have sworn or promised their positions as councilors. Likewise, the well-known footballer Jotha (Yonatan Pérez), whom Machín included in his electoral list, and Víctor Joel Curbelo have sworn their positions as CC councilors.
The plenary was completed with the three councilors that the Renovating Movement of Tinajo obtained, Antonio Morales, Alejandro Vega and Manuel Guillén; and the three also achieved by the PSOE in the municipality, Begoña del Pino, Luis Humberto Abreu and María Dolores Montes.
