The Yaiza City Council is investing 1.5 million euros from its budget in the execution of various actions in 17,000 square meters of public land in the town of Uga, aimed at improving the facade, surroundings and facilities of the wrestling ground and the adjacent area that is in front of the field and the municipal mobile park warehouse.
In this last area, the Administration will create 300 parking spaces and carry out public lighting installation works and accessibility works and pedestrian routes that will facilitate the circulation of pedestrians, among other actions.
The tender with its technical and administrative specifications has been published since Wednesday, September 10 on the Public Sector Procurement Platform and, according to it, interested companies can submit offers until October 7. With the reality of this new municipal initiative, the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, highlights that "we invest in different areas of well-being that together aim to improve the quality of life of our towns".
The Institution will also tender for the works of another complementary project, which is an order in the surroundings of the school, as explained by the Councilor for Public Works of Yaiza, Ángel Lago: "As we already explained to residents in the meeting held last May, the objective is to integrate the area surrounding the wrestling ground and the school to give citizens a large rehabilitated area that can be circulated and walked much more safely with another investment that exceeds one million euros."
On the other hand, it should be remembered that Yaiza signed the contract with the UTE Horinsa - Excavaciones Tiagua last August, responsible for the implementation works of the sanitation of the town of Uga in a period of eleven months, whose investment reaches 1.8 million euros. The City Council, the works management and the contractor are finalizing the schedule of activities for the start of the works.
