Arrecife paid tribute last Saturday to the sailors who died aboard the Cruz del Mar. The president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, made a floral offering together with the relatives and friends of the victims.
In a heartfelt and emotional tribute, the people of Lanzarote remembered the 7 crew members who were murdered on November 28, 1978, 31 years ago. The events occurred when some assailants boarded the boat in Saharan waters, armed with machine guns.
