Renovation of Haría's playgrounds

The Haría City Council will allocate more than 60,000 euros for the renovation and adaptation of the playgrounds of Arrieta, Punta Mujeres and Máguez, taking advantage of the closure of the recreational and sports facilities of the municipality due to the increase in cases of COVID-19 throughout the Island.

The mayoress of Haría, Chaxiraxi Niz, together with the Councilor for Planning and Projects and Coordination of Municipal Works, Víctor Robayna, approached the area to supervise the different projects that are going to be undertaken in these facilities, after the signing of the re-planning act for the start of the works, which are 100% subsidized through the Municipal Investment Plan 2018 of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

“Our chinijos and chinijas will debut the normality with new, modern, safe and accessible facilities; they deserve no less after the year they have had to spend,” says the mayoress of Haría. Niz stresses that the government group of Haría is making a significant investment effort in this area, directing its actions towards a clear commitment to the recovery of more urban spaces in the north of the Island.

In the case of the Máguez playground, the project has a budget of 23,000 euros and an execution period of two months, while the amount for the remodeling of the Arrieta facility is 18,457
euros and have a term of a month and a half. Finally, as for the Punta Mujeres park, the works have a budget of 20,223 euros and will be completed in two months.
