On Sunday morning, a small boat arrived at the coastal area of the municipality of Yaiza, between Playa Quemada and Puerto Calero. On this occasion, the boat was spotted while it was still in the water and approaching Lanzarote, so its occupants were detained upon arrival at the coast, where agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police were waiting for them. In total, 25 African men, including three minors. It was the fourth boat to arrive on the island's coasts.
As for the three boats found on different beaches in the municipality of Haría, only fifteen of the occupants of one of them were detained. The immigrants from the other two boats managed to reach the coast and, thanks to the darkness, managed to escape. Security forces continue to search the area to locate them.
All the immigrants who arrived in Lanzarote are in perfect health.
