The shore of the Charco de San Ginés was flooded last night with good music

traditional Canarian music with the performance of La Parranda El Golpito, which was attended

with the attendance of numerous public, including the Councilor of

Housing and the Local Development Agency, Isabel Mesa Mesa, who did not want to

miss the concert of these seven great musicians who won the

first prize in the "Parrandiando" program of Canarian Television by

excelling with their voices and instruments before 43 parrandas from all over

Canary Islands.

El Golpito, a name that has its origin in the fact that the components of the

parranda, to make a place to rehearse, each day placed a block and

so, little by little, they finished the work, performed songs from their first

album "De parranda", recently presented in Lanzarote and which is a

compilation of typical Canarian songs to dance or sing in

any party.

Thus, the seven members of the parranda, who despite their short

trajectory, have the solvency of the great musical groups

Canarian, delighted with their two guitars, a bass, a pick, a timple,

a bongos, drum and tambourine, to the numerous public that came to this

emblematic area of Arrecife that has become during these days,

next to the Sociedad Democracia and the fairground tent, in

protagonist of the San Ginés 2010 patron saint festivities.
