The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, led by Poli Suárez, is finalizing a new three-year multi-year plan to lower the ratios in classrooms. The document, which will be presented to union representatives for their assessment and contributions at a technical table convened tomorrow Wednesday, proposes to progressively reduce the number of students in Early Childhood and Primary Education from 25 to a maximum of 22 per class and Secondary Education from the 30 established for the entire State to 25.

Likewise, in the three years of implementation, until the 2027/28 academic year, this plan foresees the incorporation of 304 Early Childhood and Primary Education teachers, whose student ratio remained unchanged since 1991, and 359 Secondary Education teachers.
