Some parents of students at CEO Argana have expressed their discomfort to La Voz due to the lack of furniture in some classrooms of the center, as well as the implementation of mixed classrooms.
Regarding the furniture, according to the island director of Education, Juan Ramón Pérez, the problem will be resolved "next Monday". At the beginning of the course, Pérez already highlighted the lack of it, although he assured that it would arrive last week. However, there has been a delay and the furniture has not arrived at the center until this Wednesday and has still "not been unpacked". "I understand that there are complaints about it, but it will be installed on Monday," he assured
Even so, the island director of Education has stated that, even "with discomfort", students have been able to receive their classes in spaces enabled for it.
Regarding the implementation of mixed classrooms, Juan Ramón Pérez has confirmed that there are students from 3rd and 4th grade giving classes in the same classroom, but that it is "legal". "In Primary, as long as the ratio is not reached, classes from the same cycle can be joined and, in this case, what has been done is to join students from 3rd grade with high abilities with students from 4th grade, so it will be good for them," he explained.
Likewise, the island director of Education has announced that from October 6, which is when the new board of directors of the Federation of Mothers and Fathers of Students is formed, meetings will be held with the AMPAS of the different centers and that, probably, the CEO Argana will be the first place where a meeting is held.
