Citizens can now complete their procedures with the Cabildo without leaving home

Starting this Tuesday, citizens of Lanzarote can carry out procedures with the island administration without leaving their homes. The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the area of New Technologies, has just launched electronic administration in the institution, a new tool that will allow Lanzarote residents to carry out procedures through the Internet, on the portal [www.sede.cabildodelanzarote.com. ->https://sede.cabildodelanzarote.com/opencms/]

The platform, which was presented this Tuesday at the Cabildo, will allow online requests for authorizations for activity in Protected Natural Spaces; Research activity; anchoring in the Chinijo Archipelago; pruning, felling and transplanting palm trees; burning stubble; registration in sports training activities; registration for the El Río Swimming Crossing; registration in Escuela y Salitre; registration in Ironkids Lanzarote; application for study grants; transport aid; hunting licenses; registration in university extension courses and activities and application for a certificate of distance between populations.

In addition, new online services will be incorporated in the coming months, thus completing the implementation of the electronic administration platform in Lanzarote, given that the rest of the Town Councils, with the exception of San Bartolomé, have also adopted the same system.

Legal requirements

The platform chosen to comply with the requirements of Law 11/2007 on electronic access by citizens to Public Services is eMOCAN, "a platform based on free software, aligned with the Government of the Canary Islands and used by many municipalities of the Junta de Andalucía", said the President of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés. "We are convinced that this telematic service will improve the internal management of the municipalities and the Cabildo, as well as optimize costs.

In short, the Cabildo is taking another step in modernization, efficiency and in providing greater quality in the services it provides," he added.

The implementation of this new online system is financed by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, through the Avanza Plan and has had a total cost of 515,212.34 euros.

Requirements

Those interested in using the telematic options offered through the Electronic Administration Platform will be able to access it from any computer connected to the Internet that meets the technical and operating requirements, such as having operating systems such as Windows 98/98SE/M/Vista or Linux; browsers such as Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher, Netscape 7.1, Firefox 1.0 and Google Chrome.

However, information on possible procedures, ways to carry them out, requirements, etc., can be obtained through [www.yonohagocolas.com->http://www.yonohagocolas.com/], an informative page about the electronic administration of Lanzarote that is already operational.
