The state-owned company Red.es, which reports to the Ministry of Industry headed by José Manuel Soria, will appoint César Miralles from Lanzarote as the new general director of this entity, replacing Borja Adsuara in the position. This was reported by the Europa Press agency, which assures that an extraordinary council will be held this Thursday afternoon to formalize this appointment.
Miralles already worked in this public company, until now as economic and financial director. In addition, his work history has also been closely linked to that of José Manuel Soria. In his day, when Soria was vice president and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Government of the Canary Islands, César Miralles held the position of general director of the Treasury and Financial Policy of the regional Executive.
Marina Colón
In recent months, Miralles has occupied space in the island's media for his project to develop a private initiative in Marina Colón. In his proposal, which is opposed to the one defended by the Cabildo for the area, he requests a concession of this space to recover the old restaurant and promote nautical activities.
This generated a resounding controversy with the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, who had already requested the concession of Marina Colón to the Island Corporation, to rehabilitate the facilities of the Island Center for Nautical Sports and give space to Latin sailing.
