Coalición Canaria (CC) Yaiza denounces that the "bad management" of the mayor Óscar Noda is causing the Tinyala Basketball Club of Playa Blanca to "spend months training in darkness" due to the deficiencies presented by the San Marcial del Rubicón Sports Center and the delay suffered by the renovation works of the El Aulagar facilities.
In this sense, the nationalist municipal spokesperson, Emilio Machín, recalls that “already in October we publicly denounced the lamentable state of the San Marcial del Rubicón Sports Center, inaugurated in a hurry by Óscar Noda before the past elections with an investment close to half a million euros but without even having a proper electrical installation”.
“In fact” -adds Machín- “the lighting of this sports venue is being obtained thanks to a cable tied to a street lamp which makes it difficult for both the Tinyala teams and other athletes, and neighbors in general, to make use of these facilities at night as you can barely see due to the poor electrical light there is, as we have been told by the basketball club itself”, adds Machín.
A situation “aggravated by the enormous delay that the rehabilitation works are suffering of the El Aulagar court, where the Tinyala Basketball Club usually trains, started last March with a five-month execution period but still not finished despite having passed almost a year since its beginning”, denounces the nationalist spokesperson.
For Emilio Machín “these examples, together with the lamentable state of the courts of the Atlantic Park of Playa Blanca, inaugurated just over three years ago with more than two million euros of public money investment or its null capacity to force the construction company to complete the works of the sports hall of this town reflect the disastrous management that the Yaiza government group is doing in sports matters with Óscar Noda at the head”.
