CC presents its candidacy in Yaiza before more than 700 people

Around 700 people gathered this Saturday at the headquarters of the Canarian Coalition of Yaiza at the presentation of Leonardo Rodríguez's candidacy for mayor of the Yaiza City Council. A young candidate who made public the list composed of a total of 18 people and where the youth of the slate stands out.

During the act, the candidate Leonardo Rodríguez, pledged to cede a plot of 100,000 square meters to the young people of the municipality who have problems accessing their first home."We will give them the land so they can build their own house." Something that according to Rodríguez "shows that we are not in favor of speculation", since according to him, "we are in favor of our own, of our young people, we care about their future and their needs in the present".

Another of the measures announced by the nationalist candidate for mayor of the Yaiza City Council is the support that future mothers will receive, who "will not pay any municipal tax during the first year of their child", according to the commitment launched by Leonardo Rodríguez.

In addition, Rodríguez mentioned, among his proposals, a reform of the Playa Blanca pier, which will improve communications between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, in facilities through which nearly one million people pass each year.

On the other hand, Rodríguez criticized the current management carried out by the City Council that "has left the municipality, and its citizens, among whom I also find myself, in the most absolute and shameful oblivion", since he considered that "greater relevance has been given to the speculative interests of a few, than to the general needs of an entire town", said the candidate, who asked for "a change for Yaiza".

Another of the aspects included in the electoral program for the Yaiza City Council is the construction of two health centers in the municipality, "an unwavering objective of my team, when we win next May 27. One will be built in Playa Blanca and another in the town of Yaiza".

Among other infrastructures, there are also the construction of a theater, a sports hall, and a high school.
