The local committee of Coalición Canaria in Yaiza has asked the government group of "non-attached" of the City Council to act before the "deterioration" of the old house of the doctor of Uga. They request that maintenance actions be carried out and that it be used.
"We see that, after having been closed, this property as the years go by is increasingly deteriorated due to lack of maintenance", the CC committee points out in a statement. They also emphasize that some neighbors have told them that "it is possible that it is even serving as a home for squatters, with the permission of the Yaiza government group".
The members of the committee point out in their statement that this medical consultation was a "reference" in the municipality and that the house is "in a unique location". For this reason, they ask the "municipal government to dedicate time to execute the necessary actions to carry out its maintenance and give it use." For this, they propose two possibilities, that it be transferred "to some group lacking space" or that it be established "as the base of the Civil Protection volunteers in Yaiza, given the ease they would have from there to move to any point in the municipality".
