The Department of Youth of the Cabildo of Lanzarote presented this Monday the summer campaign aimed at the young people of the Island, which includes several camps, volunteer work, as well as collaborations with the seven town councils of the Island to carry out trips of different kinds.
The La Santa hostel will host during the month of July, in three consecutive shifts of ten days each, a camp for young people between 6 and 12 years old. There will be water activities, excursions, workshops and crafts. The price is 125 euros and registration can be done at the Youth Office of the Cabildo.
On the other hand, during the month of August there will be a special camp for the physically and mentally disabled, in two shifts of six days each. There will also be sports and recreational activities with one monitor for every four children. The price will also be 125 euros, and registration can be formalized at the Adislan association.
In addition to these camps, the Cabildo is launching an Environmental Volunteer program that will take place in Palencia, aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old. It will take place from September 15 to 25 and the cost is 400 euros.
Along with these initiatives, the Cabildo has collaborated with the Lanzarote town councils to launch several trips and summer activities. In the case of Haría, the municipality is organizing a trip that will combine a visit to the Zaragoza Expo with multi-adventure activities in the Aragonese Pyrenees. It is aimed at young people between 16 and 30 years old and will take place from August 1 to 8, with a price of 567 euros.
In the case of Tinajo, a youth exchange will be carried out with the island of La Palma for young people of 17 and 18 years old. Registration costs 80 euros. Also the Isla Bonita has been chosen by Arrecife and Yaiza to organize a trip for young people from 13 to 17 years old from August 11 to 17. The price in this case is 250 euros.
For its part, San Bartolomé has planned a camp in the Garañón Tejeda-Gran Canaria from August 25 to 28 for young people between 14 and 30 years old. The price is 40 euros. Finally, the town hall of Tías has organized a trip for young people between 13 and 17 years old to Tenerife. It will take place from September 2 to 8 with a cost of 70 euros.
