Cabildo and town councils present a campaign to activate and promote consumption in Lanzarote

The celebration of complementary activities will give life to 'Consume Lanzarote', an initiative that will start on Monday, October 12 in San Bartolomé and conclude in Arrecife on November 29.

Presentation of the Consume Lanzarote Campaign

The Minister of Commerce of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Carmen Guadalupe, and the councilors of the Commerce areas of the municipalities of the island presented this Wednesday, in the plenary hall of the first island institution, the commercial dynamization campaign 'Consume Lanzarote. The good stuff is here'.

This is an initiative promoted by the Commerce area of the Cabildo and its main objective is to activate and promote consumption in Lanzarote, betting on the development and dynamization of local and traditional commerce in this extraordinarily complex and difficult moment for the sector.

"From the Commerce area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote we are launching this initiative aimed at improving the visibility and positioning of the island's SMEs, favoring customer loyalty through the promotion of their products," Carmen Guadalupe highlighted during the presentation.

Thus, the 'Consume Lanzarote' campaign will transform each of the seven municipalities of the island into a "large shopping center" for one week, where the public will have access to the multiple offers that are being prepared to surprise visitors. Currently there are 360 registered businesses, but the deadline is still open for those who still want to join the campaign.

The Cabildo also highlights that there will be an island-wide draw of 7 gift vouchers of approximately 1,000 euros, one being drawn each week. Customers will participate for every 10 euros of purchase in the businesses participating in the campaign by registering on the official website www.consumelanzarote.es.

The celebration of complementary activities will give life to an initiative that starts this coming Monday, October 12 in San Bartolomé. Then, in this order, it will be the turn of Tías, between October 19 and 25; Tinajo, from October 26 to November 1; Haría, between November 2 and 8; Yaiza, from November 9 to 15; and Teguise, from November 16 to 22, to conclude in Arrecife, between November 21 and 29.

Consume Lanzarote APP

During this campaign, the "Consume Lanzarote" application will also be positioned, so that citizens can use it in their daily purchases and learn about the variety of stores and products available in each neighborhood or town in Lanzarote.

Likewise, all the information will be uploaded to the website consumelanzarote.es, creating an island directory of companies and where all the programming of the events and promotions that will be carried out in each of the participating businesses will be.

Through this application, businesses will publicize their products and an agenda will be included where users of the application will be aware of all the events that will be held in the campaign.

Gastrotour

'Consume Lanzarote' is a campaign to promote commerce and also gastronomy through Gastrotour, a weekly trip through the establishments that wish to participate in a contest that will reward the tapa most voted by consumers, who will also enter a raffle for different prizes.

Finally, Carmen Guadalupe thanked the collaboration of small businesses, the CACTs, business associations, the Chamber of Commerce and the representatives of the municipalities of the island, as this project is the result of the union and joint work of all the institutions and collaborating entities.

Likewise, Guadalupe hopes that "the campaign will be well received as it seeks to project the work and effort of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs on the island at this time when we all need each other."
