Businessman Antonio Becerra passed away this Monday in Arrecife, at the age of 87. Founder of El Barato warehouses, Becerra also owned many other businesses, such as Ambeba and Mango, located on Calle Real de Arrecife.

Antonio Becerra was the father of seven children, several of them dedicated to politics. Among them are the current president of the PNL, Juan Carlos Becerra (who was Minister of Tourism of the Government of the Canary Islands, as well as president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote), and the former councilor of Arrecife Ubaldo Becerra.

The wake has been installed in the Insular Hospital and this Tuesday the funeral will be held at the Church of San Ginés, where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 noon. From there, he will be transferred to the Arrecife cemetery.
