Borja Rubio and Paula Corujo "Somos Lanzarote-NC is the only alliance that defends Lanzarote and its people"

They presented their proposals for the Cabildo and Parliament in the Charco de San Ginés: "Coalición Canaria has taken the Cabildo as the storage room of its headquarters and that cannot continue to happen," said the candidate for the presidency of the first institution

The candidates of the Somos Lanzarote-Nueva Canarias alliance for the Cabildo and Parliament, Paula Corujo and Borja Rubio, presented this Saturday afternoon, in the Charco de San Ginés, the most relevant proposals that they will take to the respective institutions. The event was attended by the rest of the municipal candidates and, in the opinion of Somos Lanzarote-Nueva Canarias, "it is evidence of our commitment to Lanzarote and its people. "Today we made it clear again that if this alliance is strong in the Lanzarote institutions, the demands of this island will be taken into account," they pointed out.

In this sense, Paula Corujo alluded to the need for the Cabildo "to take a 180-degree turn, not only to its policies but also to the way it exercises them." "Coalición Canaria has taken the Cabildo as the storage room of its headquarters and that cannot continue to happen. This legislature we were promoters of a motion to kick them out that did not materialize due to the clumsiness of other parties. Now we feel legitimized to say clearly that Somos Lanzarote-Nueva Canarias is determined to complete that work and that Lanzarote finally has a Cabildo that lives up to what its people deserve," she pointed out.

For his part, the candidate of Nueva Canarias-Somos Lanzarote for the Parliament of the Canary Islands for the island of Lanzarote, Borja Rubio, stated that "enough is enough of deputies who raise their hands while turning their backs on the island that voted for them." "The people of Lanzarote must stop being third-class Canarians for the Government of the Canary Islands, it is more necessary than ever to have a representation that is only due to the people of Lanzarote. Faced with their centralist policy, our decision is to build a fairer and more balanced Canary Islands, and in which Lanzarote and the people of Lanzarote have the weight they deserve," he indicated.

Both candidates agreed that "Somos Lanzarote- Nueva Canarias is the only alliance that defends Lanzarote and its people" and concluded by stating that their presence in the institutions "is synonymous with talking about the demands of the people of Lanzarote." "Where Somos Lanzarote- Nueva Canarias is, Lanzarote will be defended," they concluded.
