The Arrecife City Council has finally extended the contract with Asidma to continue providing the home care service, which was interrupted this Thursday. "From Monday, the beneficiaries of the service will continue to receive the care they were previously enjoying," they say from the City Council.
After weeks of negotiations and the contract finally ending this Wednesday, the mayor Eva de Anta signed this Friday the decree to approve the continuity "with the same conditions, without the beneficiaries of the service being affected and without the staff seeing their jobs or their conditions jeopardized."
"We have opted for the formula of decreeing the continuity of the service because it is the fastest and we have had the understanding and availability of the awarding company, Asidma Servicios Sociales, which I want to expressly thank for the effort made to reach this solution," said De Anta.
The mayor has highlighted "the effort made by the staff of the Social Services area who, in coordination with the economic area, has allowed this decree to be carried out in record time."
"We now have a period of one year to carry out the tender for the service, a file that we are already processing, but we now have the safety net of the decree of continuity of the service," said De Anta, who believes that "the important thing is that from Monday the service will continue to be provided with total normality."
