The Arrecife City Council has allocated 480,256.76 euros to subsidize 22 projects in social matters and linked to the care of people in vulnerable situations.
The Arrecife City Council plenary session approved, in its session on Friday, November 26, the file by which subsidies were granted in a competitive competition regime for Social Action 2021.
In total, 17 associations have benefited from these 22 approved projects, "ten more social proposals than in the call for the past year", and only "4 of the projects presented this year" have been left out of the call.
"We continue to bet on financially supporting the Associations that strive every day to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable sectors of the population," says the Councilor for Social Services, María Jesús Tovar.
A variety of social action projects
From the Arrecife City Council they point out that the 22 projects that the 17 Associations have presented receive subsidies that each go "from 5,000 to 35,000 euros" and affect various projects related to "the inclusion and improvement of the quality of life of people with disabilities, social inclusion, socio-health, family support projects, the elderly in their homes, or awareness and sensitization projects."
In addition, they detail from the Consistory that among the beneficiary Associations there are some that have subsidized "up to three social action proposals", as is the case of "Flora Acoge" with the projects of "Flora Guadalupe Toledo Shelter Home, the PIA project, Promotion of Children and Adolescents".
On the other hand, the Arrecife City Council adds that Adislan "also has support in three actions", through the "Service for the Promotion of Personal Autonomy in Early Care, support for families and the impact of confinement on people with intellectual disabilities and their families".
Finally, from the Consistory they highlight that the El Cribo Association has also seen two projects subsidized, "the Batucada Workshop and the Gardening Workshop". However, the City Council adds that the initiatives "cover all areas of social services", such as the cases of "Ascursolanz" for "the dynamization of the deaf community or the Arganasiente de colores project of the La Vida es Zuaina Association".
Asociación Derecho Accesible, Alanem, Afol, Tinguafaya, Emerlan, Aspercan, Remar, Mararía, Afibrolan, Asociación Lánzate LGTBI, Asociación Canaria de Intermediación Familiar and Asociación Creciendo Yaiza are the NGOs and Associations that have also benefited from the subsidies for Social Action 2021 of the Arrecife City Council.
