Arrecife Resurfaces Several Streets in the Capital's Titerroy Neighborhood

The City Council's works are focused this week on Tinamala, Doctor Gregorio Marañón and José Pereira Galviaty streets, as well as the intersections of the perpendicular streets.

The Municipal Resurfacing Plan, directly promoted by the city's mayor, Yonathan de León, is also reaching the streets of the Titerroy neighborhood. If last fall all the streets surrounding the Health Center of this working-class neighborhood were resurfaced, now during this week of February the company awarded these works is developing improvements in new streets of Titerroy.

Yonathan de León, who is also the direct head of the Public Works Area, asks for the cooperation of residents and drivers. The mayor recalls that "in order to carry out resurfacing works, the streets need to be closed to traffic for several days." Before, the machinery mills the pavement so that the new level, once these roads are resurfaced, is the same to avoid obstacles next to the curbs.

The mayor is aware that these works generate possible traffic jams at certain times of the day due to the simultaneous operation of several works to renovate the streets of Titerroy, which had been almost three decades without municipal improvements.

The Department of Public Works is undertaking the resurfacing of several streets in Titerroy within the Municipal Resurfacing Plan, which is giving a good change to the asphalt pavement in about 150 streets throughout the municipality.

The City Council's works are focused this week on Tinamala, Doctor Gregorio Marañón and José Pereira Galviaty streets, as well as the intersections of the perpendicular streets. The Department of Public Works reminds that the Benito Méndez Tarajano school is located in the area and generates greater traffic congestion during peak hours.

The awarded company has installed informative fences where residents are informed of the closing days to carry out the pavement works.

Yonathan de León has confirmed that during these first months of 2025 streets in Titerroy and Altavista will be resurfaced, as a continuation of the works carried out these weeks ago in several areas of La Vega and El Cable.
