The Arrecife City Council's Employment Department is taking a decisive step in its strategy to boost youth employment with two new initiatives supported by the Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE): the launch of the Training in Alternating Employment Program – Youth Guarantee (PFAE-GJ) "Dinamización en Arrecife 2025" and the official accreditation of the new municipal training center in Argana Alta, where the Microcomputer Systems specialty will be taught.

The "Dinamización en Arrecife 2025" program, which is already underway at the Arrecife Civic Center, is subsidized by the Canary Islands Employment Service and co-financed by 85% by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021-2027 Canarias, within the objective of promoting a more social and inclusive Europe.

This initiative offers fifteen unemployed young people under 30 the opportunity to plan, design, organize, and execute leisure, free time, and citizen participation projects, specifically aimed at children, youth, and the elderly in the municipality. Through this, the program seeks to foster social participation and strengthen the community fabric in the capital of Lanzarote.

In parallel, the Arrecife City Council has received the positive resolution of accreditation from the Canary Employment Service, which recognizes it as an authorized training center to offer the specialty "Microcomputer Systems (IFCT0209)," at the municipal headquarters in Argana Alta (Isa street corner Folías, 62). This accreditation will allow the City Council to soon offer regulated technological training, expanding the local educational offerings and preparing young people for the new digital profiles demanded by the labor market.

The Councilor for Employment, Echedey Eugenio, highlights that these two resolutions represent a very important step for Arrecife, because they consolidate our City Council as an accredited training entity and expand real employment opportunities for the young people of the municipality”.

Eugenio adds that "we are committed to quality training, linked to employment, and adapted to the new needs of the labor market, from social dynamism to technological skills."The deputy mayor further emphasizes the importance of institutional and European collaboration: "Thanks to the support of the Canary Employment Service and the European Social Fund Plus, Arrecife can continue to promote life-changing programs that reinforce the municipal commitment to job placement and youth training."

With the start of the PFAE-GJ “Dinamización en Arrecife 2025” and the accreditation of the training center in Argana Alta, the Arrecife City Council's Employment Department continues to advance in its objective of creating opportunities, diversifying vocational training, and promoting quality employment in the municipality.
