The extraordinary Plenary Session to discuss the Debate on the State of the Municipality of Arrecife, scheduled for this Thursday at 09:00 hours, has been postponed by the capital's City Council.
The mayoress of the capital, Astrid Pérez, has cancelled the call for the Debate on the State of the Municipality that was to be held in an extraordinary plenary session this Thursday at the "Agustín de la Hoz" House of Culture.
Astrid Pérez has adopted this measure at the request of the General Secretariat of the Town Hall, which has advised postponing the holding of the Debate "until there is a regulation governing its development".
In this regard, the mayoress of Arrecife clarifies that she decided to convene the aforementioned Debate “because it had been unanimously approved by the Plenary of the Town Hall, and therefore in the interest of transparency, democratic quality and good governance”.
At the same time, she has initiated the procedures for the approval by the Arrecife Town Hall of an Organic Regulation governing the holding of a debate on the state of the municipality on an annual basis.
