The Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council will launch this summer a camp aimed at boys and girls from the municipality with the aim of facilitating family reconciliation during the summer period and offering an educational, recreational, and inclusive space for minors.

The initiative will be developed in the Argana Baja and Los Alonso sociocultural centers, where activities will be set up for minors between 6 and 12 years of age. Each of the centers will have 30 places, distributed in two age groups: 15 minors from 6 to 9 years old and 15 minors from 10 to 12 years old.

The program will be developed during the summer months from 07:00 to 13:30, thus facilitating the reconciliation of many Arrecife families during school holidays. In addition, it includes inclusive joint days between both camps on June 25, 26, and 29, as well as July 17 and August 14, which will take place at the Argana Baja Sociocultural Center.

The camp will feature a wide program of activities adapted to the different ages and needs of the participants, promoting coexistence, healthy leisure, creativity, physical activity, and the personal and social development of minors.

Among the planned activities are group dynamics, gymkhanas, creative and pre-sport games, crafts, outdoor games, and water parties, all organized by a professional team composed of an animator and two sociocultural monitors in each center.

The Councilor for Culture, Abigail González, highlights that “this camp is born with the will to offer Arrecife families a useful resource during the summer, but also with the aim that the children enjoy a safe, educational, and fun space where they can share experiences, learn, and relate to each other”.

Likewise, she points out that “from the Department of Culture, we continue to bet on initiatives that energize neighborhoods, promote coexistence, and promote healthy leisure alternatives for our minors”.

Interested families can obtain more information and formalize registrations through the Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council and the telephone number provided for the camp: 618 710 854.
