Arrecife completes the “Mobility Improvement” work in the school environment of the CEIP Nieves Toledo

"Now the accessibility and mobility of pedestrians in five streets near the Nieves Toledo school has been improved, which makes the area safer for students and parents," explains the mayor of Arrecife.

The Arrecife City Council, chaired by Astrid Pérez, through the Department of Education, directed by Saro González, has completed the "Mobility Improvement" work in the school environment of the CEIP Nieves Toledo” in Arrecife, in the Valterra neighborhood. 

Mayor Astrid Pérez has highlighted that “this work, which has been requested by the educational community of the center and has been an essential action for the Government Group that I chair, is now a reality. Now the accessibility and mobility of pedestrians in five streets near the Nieves Toledo school has been improved, which makes the area safer for students and parents.”

The Councilor for Education, Saro González, has stated that “we have always been committed to urban environments close to public buildings and, as in this case, to educational centers.” 

The work has been carried out by the company Transportes y Excavaciones Tiagua, S.L., for an amount of 407,630.35 euros. Five streets surrounding the CEIP Nieves Toledo have been conditioned: Indio, Tarragona, Gerona, Sotileza and Vicente Vilas González, providing them with wide and comfortable pedestrian and road accesses, and connection to the entrance of the public school in the Valterra neighborhood.
