Arrecife begins work to improve public lighting in the Arrecife Maritime Park

The City Council announces that the capital's dog park "will remain closed during the course of these works as it is located in the area affected by the execution works"

The Arrecife City Council has started this Monday, November 22, the works to improve the Public Lighting of the Arrecife Maritime Park, which from the City Council they assure will provide "a renovated, powerful, modern and sustainable lighting to a large part of the maritime coastline of the municipality."

From the City Council they point out that this action is framed "within the Lighting Project that has been gradually developed" since September 2019 from the Public Works area, to install new public lighting points in different neighborhoods of the capital of Lanzarote.”

This work, which will be executed within approximately one month, was awarded to the company Instalaciones Eléctricas Roluz SL, for an amount of 25,469.72 euros.

The Arrecife City Council informs that for the start of this work that began this Monday, the executing company "has carried out a preliminary layout before the start of the same, consisting of taking data in situ of the total surface to be intervened with the marking and the exact location of both manholes and foundations." From that, they add from the Consistory that the company already from Monday "will begin the work of removing the existing columns, as well as the excavations and demolitions necessary for the execution of the foundations and pipelines."

Likewise, from the City Council they add that during the execution of the foundations "the placement of the plates and anchors necessary for the installation of the lighting will be carried out". Once this entire process is completed, "the company will proceed to pave by replacing the affected pavements."

With this action, the municipal government assures that it continues to advance "in the commitment to provide more public lighting to the city, reaching all the neighborhoods of the municipality with specific and gradual actions."

In that sense, the area's councillor, Roberto Herbón, has pointed out that "in a month the Maritime Park will have a renovated and sustainable lighting as the third capital of the Canary Islands deserves. Our obligation is to improve and strengthen the public services of the municipality and, in that task, the Public Works area is 100% focused on actions that will result in a visible improvement for our city."

Finally, they explain that as part of the execution works of the new Lighting in the Maritime Park, the Arrecife City Council announces that the capital's dog park "will remain closed during the course of these works, since it is located in the area affected by the execution works and, it will open once these actions have been completed and after a powerful cleaning and maintenance shock plan."
