The Agency for the Protection of the Urban and Natural Environment (Apmun) has imposed a sanction of 30,000 euros on a person as responsible for an environmental infraction, classified as serious in the Canary Islands Waste Law, according to what the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) publishes this Wednesday. The defendant will have to face this fine for non-compliance with the "legal determinations in the management and handling of hazardous waste."
And it is that the affected party has not proven the delivery of this waste to an authorized manager, in the activity that he carries out in Víctor Hugo street, in Arrecife. In addition, he imposes another sanction of 300 euros for not being registered in the Registry of Small Producers of Toxic and Hazardous Waste, given that he himself produces waste in quantities less than 10,000 kilograms per year, as stated in the BOC.
The Apmun has also ordered this person to proceed with the restoration of things to the state prior to the commission of this infraction. To do this, you will have to prove it to the Apmun "with the corresponding proof, of having proceeded to deliver the hazardous waste generated in your production activity to an authorized manager."
This person has 15 days to present allegations, as established in the BOC.
