The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory and Secretary General of the PSOE in the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, said this Saturday that the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has the drive, support and affection of the Canary Islands socialists.

Torres upon his arrival in Ferraz, before the celebration of the Federal Committee, highlighted that "the entire PSOE is united" in support of Sánchez, to whom he conveyed his support "in these difficult times, where it seems that anything goes" even, he added, attacking family members.

Likewise, he has asked the Secretary General of the PSOE and President of the Spanish Executive for resistance to continue advancing in the construction of this country and walking with the rights that have been consolidated and that, in his opinion, "still have to be preserved in the future".

He highlighted that Sánchez not only has the support of the members but also that of millions of Spaniards, while also emphasizing the importance of confronting "lies, hoaxes, slander and defamation" so that those who use those tools that have to be criticized and denounced by "true democrats" do not win.

"There is still much, Pedro, to walk and do for this country," he concluded.
