Montañas del Fuego takes a decisive step to improve the comfort of its visitors and workers. The company Climatega, awarded the contract, began the installation of new air conditioning systems this week in the shop and in the emblematic "El Diablo" restaurant, where high temperatures have been a recurring problem for years.
The contract, valued at 415,808.79 euros, includes the installation of the equipment and its connection to the center's electrical supply, as well as all necessary adaptations to ensure efficient and safe operation. The project has all the required permits.
The Councilor for Tourist Centers, Ángel Vázquez, highlighted the relevance of this intervention by stating that "it is a milestone for the Entity: we are providing a definitive solution to a historical problem that affected both workers and visitors." Furthermore, he emphasized that this new facility will allow the implementation of the strategy designed to "resize the restaurant with the best natural barbecue in the world."
The works, which have already begun, will be carried out within a planned timeframe of 10 weeks, during which regular tourist access to this iconic Lanzarote space will continue to be facilitated.
