Acciona Trasmediterránea has incorporated the ship 'Aegean Heaven' to the connections between Cádiz and the Canary Islands in order to reinforce the logistics scheme of supply to the islands.

The new ship will make two weekly rotations, with departures on Tuesdays at 23:59 hours from Cádiz to Tenerife-Las Palmas and return to Cádiz, and on Saturdays at 22:00 hours, making the Cádiz-Arrecife-Las Palmas line and return to Cádiz. From the company they indicate that they "do not know" when this new ship will come into operation.

The ship has a capacity of 2,600 linear meters, equivalent to 160 modules and a separate hold for 40 delivery vans. It is also equipped with 122 plugs for connecting refrigeration units.

The 'Aegean Heaven', a state-of-the-art ship, reaches speeds of up to 30-31 knots, equivalent to 55-57 km per hour, which reduces the duration of the journey from 36 to 30 hours, Acciona reports in a statement.
