A new agricultural and livestock market debuts in Costa Teguise

The agricultural and craft market of the Punta del Jablillo Shopping Center, in Costa Teguise, was launched this Thursday. This proposal was born at the request of artisans and workers in the primary sector who requested a differentiated sales point in the town, according to the Teguise City Council in a statement.

The mayor of Teguise, Juan Pedro Hernández, and the Councilor for Markets, Oswaldo Betancort, pointed out that they are going to promote this type of initiative. In addition, they will look for ways to organize recreational activities in the vicinity in the next events to promote and improve the project.

In the premiere of this market, which will open every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a dozen stalls were registered, all accredited at the Municipal Market Office. Councilor Betancort affirms that it is not ruled out to continue increasing the number of stands, always following a criterion of quality and also of exhibition. Thus, artisans who carry out their work live will be chosen with preference.
