A dead man appears in his Uga home

Police investigations indicate robbery as the main motive for the violent beating death of a 75-year-old man on Thursday morning at his home in Lanzarote. According to ACN Press sources from the investigation, the back door of the deceased's house was forced, so the most logical hypothesis in these cases gains strength.

Apparently, his son raised the alarm around noon when he found the lifeless body, and agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police went to the scene, where they remained for more than two hours. At around 2:30 p.m., the body was removed.

The deceased, who responded to the initials S.C.M., lived alone in a ground-floor house, and had three children on the island. In addition to having worked as a taxi driver for almost his entire life, he had farmland in the area and was still usually in charge of its care.

The mayor and several councilors of the Yaiza City Council also went to the scene, after learning of the tragic news that shook the town of Uga this Thursday.

The ACN Press agency maintains that the deceased had received several blows, supposedly with a hammer. The alleged homicide is being investigated under the judicial supervision of court number 8 of Arrecife.
