50 people participated in the Playa Honda Island Mile Circuit

50 people participated in the Island Miles Circuit that was held last Friday, February 29, at 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the Guacimeta esplanade, in Playa Honda. The Circuit was organized by the Island Sports Service of the Cabildo, in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City Council of San Bartolomé.

The runners had to cover the distance of the mile along Mástil street, with the Start and Finish line on the Guacimeta esplanade (I.E.S. Playa Honda parking lots). Participants ranged from the pre-Benjamin category to veterans over 50 years of age.

At the end of the race and during the presentation of trophies and medals, 3 gift vouchers worth 60 euros each were raffled off, redeemable for sports equipment.

The event was attended by the Councilor for Sports, Dolores Corujo, the manager of the Island Sports Service, Susana Martín, and the Councilor for Festivities, Áurea Mauri, who were responsible for presenting the prizes, trophies and medals.
