The mayor of Yaiza, José Francisco Reyes, has requested the company awarded the resurfacing of the LZ 2 road to carry out the improvement works at night, or, if necessary, to divert the intense traffic along alternative routes. On this road, which connects the capital of Lanzarote with Playa Blanca, intense traffic jams are being recorded due to the works being carried out for the maintenance of the road integrated in the state interest network.
In these last days, the new paving works are focused on the section that connects the towns of Playa Quemada and Uga, causing annoying traffic jams for users. The Yaiza Town Council positively values these improvements, which will contribute to greater safety for drivers, and prudence is requested while the works last in these weeks.
