Canal Gestión, the company in charge of water management in Lanzarote, has suspended the water supply in Los Valles due to "the need to regulate the levels of the supply tanks" in the north. This was reported through its website.
In addition, the company has also announced that there are several areas of the island affected by changes in water pressure. These include Punta Mujeres (Haría), San Bartolomé and the towns of Tías, Conil and La Asomada.
Water cuts for supply
In addition to these restrictions, there is also the cut of drinking water for agricultural purposes in several municipalities on the island.
"Given the situation of restrictions in the supply of drinking water that are being recorded on the island, the farms that obtain drinking water for agricultural purposes according to the established calendar, cease to be supplied", Canal Gestión Lanzarote has assured.
This is the case of drinking water for agricultural purposes in several areas of Haría. These include Temisa, from Yé to the Mirador del Río, the farms from Guinate to Máguez, El Raso, Las Quemadas, El Castillejo, Los Lajares, Trujillo, Los Llanos and Las Rosas.
Meanwhile, in San Bartolomé the spaces affected by the supply cut for irrigation are in Las Cuevas, El Islote and La Caldera.
In Teguise the space of El Majuelo, the area of the cemetery, the road that connects Teguise with Famara and the Vega de San José.
The municipality of Tinajo sees the supply interrupted in the farms of the Las Herrentas road, the space between the Coast and Tajaste, the area between Soo towards El Cuchillo and vice versa, as well as the Lajas del Sol.
