Two boats rescued near the coasts of Lanzarote

In total, 87 people, including women and children, were traveling in the two boats.

Maritime Rescue has rescued two boats near the coasts of Lanzarote in the early hours of this Monday, as reported by the Emergency Consortium

In the first boat there would be about 44 people, including five women and a minor, all of sub-Saharan origin. Subsequently, the second barge was intercepted with about 43 people.

All occupants have been transferred to Puerto Naos where they have been assisted by the Red Cross on land.

With these boats, there would already be five boats rescued in Lanzarote during the weekend and 232 people arrived on the island.
