Maritime Rescue has rescued two new boats near the coasts of Lanzarote in the last hours, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

In the two boats, a total of about one hundred people would be traveling, women and minors among them, of sub-Saharan and Maghreb origin. The first of the barges was located at about 5 in the morning and the second was spotted by the fishing boat Marigea Segundo at 9.42 am this Saturday northeast of the island.

This second boat was going to be diverted to Fuerteventura as the Arrecife CATE is saturated, but due to the dehydration of one of the migrants it had to be transferred to Puerto Naos, where they will be assisted by the Red Cross.
