The municipality of Tías presented its Carnival this Sunday, in an event attended by the charanga Los Gruñores, the batucada Chimbay and the comparsa Sur Caliente.
Likewise, the Tías City Council paid tribute to the recently deceased Domingo Brito, presenting his family with a painting, in recognition of his contribution to the Carnival.
The Tías Carnivals will kick off next Thursday, March 10 with the Children's Carnival, which will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Varadero in Puerto del Carmen.
On Friday, March 11, at 8:30 p.m., the Grand Carnival Gala will take place, with performances by the charanga Los Gruñones, the batucada Chimbay and the comparsa Sur Caliente, in the Plaza del Varadero. Afterwards, there will be a dance with the Travesía orchestra and the Los Conejeros quartet.
On Saturday the 12th, at 5:00 p.m., the Grand Carnival Parade will take place, which will run along Avenida de las Playas, from Barcarola to Fariones Playa. From 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., there will be a dance, enlivened by the Suso y Familia orchestras, Lanzarote Swing and the Los Conejeros quartet, in the Plaza del Varadero.
