The town of Playa Honda celebrated the day of Santa Elena this Tuesday. At 7 in the afternoon, mass was celebrated, presided over by the parish priest Miguel Hernández. The Eucharist also included the musical accompaniment of the Al-Andalus rociero group between Alisios and Levante.
At the end of the religious service, the traditional procession took place. Accompanying the image of Santa Elena, the procession toured San Borondón street, then passed through Fragata and the beach avenue, returning later to San Borondón and Calle Mayor.
In addition to the devoted residents of Playa Honda, numerous councilors from the San Bartolomé City Council also attended the procession. The parade's pace was marked by the music of the San Bartolomé Band.
